The property was a great location. Just steps from the ocean. Comfortable and clean. Plenty of room for everyone. Would definitely stay here again.

The location was great, the house was nice however the furniture was all stained up & saggy. We had to put blankets on everything and that was questionable as well. The floors had dust and dog hair under all of the furniture. We assembled a new vacuum they had and did all if the floors and were tempted to wash all of the slip overs. An attempt could have been made to spot clean the furniture.
We will research further for next year. We would have lived to return had it nit been for the filthy furniture.

We enjoyed every second of our vacation on Pawleys Island. The process was simple and stress free.

We stayed at Sandcastle in September 2022 and our stay was perfect. We happily booked for 2023 with the same expectations, but were disappointed. We seemed to keep finding issues with the rental at almost every turn. First of all, the oven will not preheat past 350 degrees, probably due to the cracked glass stove top. Multiple toilets would not flush - we had to open the tank top to reset them for each flush. Kitchen cabinet doors are broken and will not close. The ice maker in the refrigerator did not work. The dishwasher only worked when barely loaded.The location of this rental is perfect, but we didn't expect these issues for what we paid for the week. We will look elsewhere next year.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at Sandcastle, this was our second time staying there. Everything was great and the staff at TideLife Vacation Rentals are awesome!! Can't wait till next year!

The house was fine for space and location and we plan to return, we had to call to get the sand off the porch and replace burned out bulbs. The cookware needs to be updated as it is no longer nonstick. Having two fridges was great with 4 families. The closeness of the dock was nice. several cabinet doors in the kitchen needed to have the hinges replaced according to maintenance.

We enjoyed a wonderful week in Sandcastle. The location is amazing! The closeness of the beach, the creek side dock to fish from, and the layout of the house were wonderful. The beds were comfortable and the flow of the house worked for the 9 of us. Tidelife Vacation Rentals was very responsive to the few problems we had. Overall, we had a very positive experience.

Great weather. 2 porch rockers were disabled but one was fixed the day after reported. Some early morning fishermen used the dock to gather bait (or in one instance catch a flounder!) It was not a bother for us but you might consider a "Sandcastle only" sign for the river side parking area before it becomes a popular spot.

Our 6th wonderful time at Sandcastle! Best location at the Pawleys to catch a mess of fish from Sandcastle dock or on the beach. We spent 2 weeks inThe Sandcastle beach house and it was wonderful being beach front and having a creak side dock. Both my husband and I would use the porches and the dock for reading, people and bird watching.
The house has so many rooms and bathrooms for a lot of people to spread out. Loved the 2nd story beach front room with the table in it. Great place to watch the world go by.

This was our fifth time at Sandcastle and Hurricane Ian did not stop Tidelife from making our vacation enjoyable. Sandcastle was completely ready for us and like always in perfect condition. Ian did change the fishing holes off the dock and did make it better. We caught over 100 fish (Spot tail bass, Sheephead, Sea trout, Spot, Pinfish, Croaker, Black Drum and a huge Stingray) from Sandcastle fishing dock. Thanks again Tidelife for a wonderful vacation.

Very good. The house was clean and all equipment was functioning well. I wish the driveway was paved with some type of river gravel. The broken concrete actually cut several feet. Also a full or half bath in the Carolina room would add a nice addition to the layout.

As usual, we had a great time at Sandcastle. Even though one of our family suffered from some kind of intestinal bug for the majority of her stay she said the beach was still the best place to be! The new upgrades were welcome and added to the “return to Sandcastle” call we start experiencing as we pull away to head home!

The location of Sandcastle is so perfect for fishing, enjoying the beach and having all the amenities of Restaurants and necessities at your convenience.
Sandcastle a unique beach house: You are on the Ocean & Inlet.
The dock on the inlet was an excellent spot for us catching the cooler of Drum, Spotted Bass, Flounder and other varieties of fish. I'm told it's the best spot on Pawley's Island! A Fishing Paradise!
Sandcastle is perfectly set up with all you need for a wonderful vacation.

We have rented Sandcastle several times before. Mostly we love this house! The stairs continue to be a safety concern as they are not all the same height, and handrails are needed in some spots. The owners need to do a deep clean in the kitchen and bedrooms by cleaning out drawers and replacing pillows. Throw out the old ones!!

As usual, Sandcastle was very much a home away from home for our family! Tidelife was great again. We’ve been staying at least 3-4 weeks a year here for about 8-10 years. There have been a few upgrades over time but there is more room for updating. A few cosmetic touch ups would be welcome. But, Lord willing, we’ll keep coming back for our family fun beach trips!

The management company was kind enough to allow us to have a family wedding on the beach and I was thankful of that. The house was quite dirty, dead bugs, dirty floors and when arriving, there was an old white refrigerator in the dining/living room with a ripped piece of cardboard taped to the door stating keep refrigerator door closed. I was disappointed due to the wedding taking place in two days. The pictures posted I believe are old and need to be posted to reflect the current condition of the home and furniture (worn). I hired a house cleaner to come in and clean the home properly however, this was a 500.00 cost to me. The furniture is worn which is expected and if cleaned on occasion would be nice for guests. I would stay in the rental again and to be fair I did not report this to the management company. I simply took care of having the house cleaned, the fishing was amazing, the neighbors renting next to us were wonderful as well.

We had a great time staying at the Sandcastle. Ocean front for the beach lovers and creek side for fishermen. The house was perfect for our busy and large family. Tidelife had everything ready for us and check-in was very easy, quick and painless so we could get straight to vacationing.

We were satisfied generally. However there was no internet or cable, no dish towels & one of the upstairs showers was backing up after we were there for two days. We didn’t find the house as clean as in the past. We had to purchase two door mats for the entry way as the sand was impossible ,several of us slipped more than once. The driveway could be paved to keep the sand under control.

Very good. Wish the owners would add a small bathroom to large front upstairs bedroom. The driveway is very painful on the feet. We had two cut feet. Get rid of the recycled crush asphalt and concrete in driveway.

If you are looking for a great vacation with lots of fishing and a great beachy experience, then this is the beach house for you. With the beach in front and the fishing dock in back, our stay here was most enjoyable. Sandcastle has been newly renovated with all the necessary features needed to make your stay wonderful, we couldn't of had a better view of the ocean and inlet! Fishing all day, catching Spottail Bass, Whiting, Flounder and many others. Tidelife Management made our vacation special, the ladies there have to be commended! Thanks again for a great vacation. This trip was very nice since we could bring our 4 legged family members! This is the first time making reservations in a house that allowed pets--and we were more than pleased with our stay. I have attended the yearly "Labor Day Weekend" trip since I married my husband who has always had a beach weekend trip over Labor Day his whole life. There have been many houses along a long stretch of SC beaches, and I have to say this was one of the most enjoyable. Thank you, homeowners, for the opportunity to bring the 'whole' family this past Labor Day Weekend!! We hope to see you again next year!

This home was perfect for our extended family vacation. The home was very clean, well stocked kitchen, even two refrigerators. Plenty of room for all 12 of us and had room to spare. We loved the option of watching the sun rise on the ocean side of the house and watching the sunset on the creek side from the porches. Suzanne and her staff are very accommodating and willing to help make your stay One to remember. You cannot go by choosing Suzanne. We will definitely stay here again.

Very nice. Too close to south end as we had several days of crowds coming down and parking infront of the house. Can the town of Pawleys Island put up a fence and remind folks that it is a private beach. The gettys served as a fence in the past.

We had a wonderful time at Sandcastle, as we also had in 2019. There was, however, one frustrating part of our experience this year. The glass door between the living area and the screen-enclosed porch area overlooking the beach was broken and a pain to operate. There was a small notice next to the door describing a way it could still be operated, but for the amount a family pays to stay in Sandcastle for a week it seemed unacceptable to us that either the owners or property managers could not have this door fixed.

Our family had a great time staying at Sandcastle - plenty of room! Loved walks on the beach and view of the ocean. The creek dock was an added bonus and my daughter caught a big speckled trout that was delicious. There are many great golf courses very close by. Restaurants & grocery’s are minutes away. Charter boats are around 20 minutes away.
Can’t wait to come back!

Great pet-friendly holiday get-a-away. Sandcastle was recently renovated. The historic charm was carefully protected and remained pleasingly "yesteryear" while amenities were totally up-to-date. After years of bemoaning beach-rental kitchens as lacking, we found Sandcastle's a cook's dream! The aged pine and updated tile flooring made battling beach sand an easy chore. Although a major storm slammed the lower end of Pawley's hard the week before our arrival and major beach reclamation was a 24/7 process, we quickly adapted and enjoyed watching the progress from the ocean-side screened deck. Having pier access creekside as a useful fishing/photo spot was perfect. Positioned at the end-point of the island, Sandcastle's location presents a photographer's dream spot. Overall, very pleased with our choice of Sandcastle and the support Tidelife Rental folks provided from start to finish.

We had a fantastic time at the Sandcastle. The house had plenty of room for everyone. We loved hanging out on the dock fishing and crabbing. The front porch was also a favorite. It was easy to keep an eye on kids from that vantage point. The house was well stocked with kitchen gear, and we had plenty of towels. Tidelife was prompt and super friendly. We had King tides while we were there and part of the boardwalk under the house washed away leaving some screws sticking out, they came right away and took care of it. We loved all the hardwood floors and granite counter, easy to clean. Great house and great management company!

Our family of 18 enjoyed Sandcastle so much we've already put in a deposit for it next year: same time, same place. The home is perfectly situated with a relatively private beach. The home is spacious and comfortable, with both an open and screened in deck. Fishing off the private pier in back was almost as much fun as the ocean itself; paddle-boarded there too. Long walks along the beach each day were a staple.

The week was great. Location could not have been better. Beach one side and creek on the other. Plenty of water access. The house was very very clean and layout works very well for large families. Will look forward to going back.

Kudos to Max and Suzanne for the many upgrades to Sandcastle. These brought an already fabulous family oriented beach house to an over the top family beach experience! The new windows, mattresses, king beds suited all 10 of us! Lots of hard work has paid off!

We recently stayed at Sandcastle and we were very impressed. It is a beautiful place with an amazing view and well suited for large groups. We spent 4 nights here with family while a friend was getting married nearby. We were able to bring our dog and she loved playing on the beach and in the waves. Sandcastle has more than enough room capable of accommodating many people. Two balconies, a screened in porch, and a second story living area overlooking the ocean provided plenty of areas to enjoy the gorgeous surroundings. We were the first guests at Sandcastle after it had many upgrades this fall. Parts of the home feel brand new! The management team was extremely helpful in assisting with the transition and showing us the new amenities. The team (thanks Max!) was very attentive and responsive. The whole renting process and logistics were seamless. Sandcastle is thoughtfully designed to feel very comfortable. Our favorite part of the house is that it is directly on the sand. There is a large screened in porch as well as an additional patio right on the sand. You can watch your friends and family enjoying the beach from the many windows in the kitchen, patio and living area. I would definitely recommend this house for large families or a big group of friends. It's a short drive to restaurants and grocery stores. Pet friendly and a perfect setting. We hope to return if ever in the area.

Property needs a little maintenance and upgrading of furniture and beds, especially mattress replacements. Kitchen appliances need replacing soon, too. Overall, it’s a good beach house for the cost but could be a better beach house for the cost. Love PI and Tidelife family. Location of house is superb!

We are regulars to Pawleys Island and love the south end of the island. The Sandcastle has a great location and layout. We were traveling with 4 kids and they enjoyed both sides of the water. Tidelife was great as always!

We absolutely love the house and the location and that's why we've been going to it for 26 years. Our son, Jimmy, was two when we first stayed in the house. He proposed to his girlfriend while we were there this year.

This was an amazing house and location. Fit more than our needs. Booked already for next year!! We have rented houses from Gulf Shores AL to Myrtle Beach SC this was and is by far the best experience from renting the house to checking in and checking out Tidelife Vacation Rentals is the best and they made the trip awesome. My family used to go to Litchfield Beach once a year, every year, until 2005 when the house we had stayed in was no longer in the family. My dad's health has recently declined and he's always said he would love to go back to the beach with the family like we used to and this house made that possible! We could sit on the front porch and listen/watch the waves roll in and the dining room has a beautiful view of the ocean as well. The other side of the house has views of the peaceful marsh, so there was no end to the sights. The listing is very accurate as to the space the house provides (lots). The whole house was clean and all the amenities such as towels, and dishes and such were provided. The person we had as our contact was very kind and informative, I cannot say enough how excellent her communication and customer service is. I would most definitely recommend a stay here. You are just a walk away from the end of Pawley's (beautiful view) and minute's drive from restaurants, historic Georgetown, and Brookgreen Gardens. We really liked eating at The Rustic Table about 12 minutes drive from the house.

Beds and pillows need to be replaced!
We can deal with everything else. But getting a good nights sleep is essential! Not to mention that people who visit with back issues dont need to end the vacation in worse shape than they came in!
Living room sofa needs replaced as well, worn out!

What a great experience! Tidelife did it again! Thank you Suzanne! This is really a nice vacation spot for family or couple get away. The beds were comfortable the house was clean and the view is fantastic! Canal on one side and ocean on the other! Quiet area and beautiful place to walk along beach. Very scenic.

Been coming to Pawleys since 1988 and Sandcastle since mid nineties. Perfect for big family groups. TideLife agency is friendly and responsive. Owner keeps property in great condition. Love it.

1st time renting a home for all of us (11) to stay at and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Celebrating a couple of milestone birthdays. and 3 college graduations.
Accommodation's fit us to a Tee. The staff at Tide Life were hands on accommodating to us. Waking up to the sound of the ocean was wonderful, views phenomenal (sunrise/sunsets) a lot to do (if you wanted)or just relax and enjoy the great weather.
The staff at Tide Life gave us great tips on restaurant's, stores and even when we went up/or down state to other towns.
Since back home we all have been bragging about our trip.

How can anyone complain with this rental agency, this beach house, and this beach community? It is exactly what we look for to enjoy our 2-3 week stay twice a year! Now if a chef was provided it would be better than perfect! LOL

This year we decided to start our summer a bit early. My daughter was married April 9th in Charleston. She and her husband both being teachers were off the following week we continued the celebration at Pawley's with friends and family at the Sandcastle. What a great ocean front home, plenty of room and Pawley's charm. The management company Tidelife was very helpful and easy to deal with. Thanks Tidelife!

Even right after Hurricane Matthew, the house was in excellent shape, clean and ready for us. Sand Castle is perfectly situated on the beach with a crab dock on the creek, so you have the freedom to explore the marsh and the ocean, fishing, crabbing, kayaking, swimming, and on land, biking. It's a great house.
Tidelife is the best. They were generous, kind and accommodating despite all the post-storm work. Our stay was delightful thanks to all of their help.

We have gathered at the Sand Castle for an annual get together for the last 22 years. That should say something about how we feel about the place.

We had great time on South End of Pawleys Island.

We have been staying at Sandcastle each summer for over 20 years. It is a big, family friendly house with perfect beach access. Since Tidelife assumed management, service has improved a lot. I would recommend this rental to anyone.
