The rental was spacious and comfortably accommodated our family of 5 adults and three children. Best thing going for it was the screened in porches with views of the marsh. We had several issues that were hard to overlook after a two week stay. MOLD grew quickly around light fixtures, vents, columns and ceilings. The amount of mold that grew in two weeks was such that he homeowners have to know it’s a problem and they are covering it between rentals. ELECTRICAL PANEL was rigged worse than anything ever seen. The utility room was making a beeping alarm noise and it was coming from that panel. Simply closing the door to the room caused a portable low voltage battery that had been hooked up in the panel box to fall out. Loose wires were hanging, and sparks were flying and one of the adults was shocked as a result. The issue was reported and the components were electrical taped back together. BROKEN OVEN DOOR was discovered while opening to remove hot items. We cook, and it was difficult to open the door, the glass would slide and fall creating a burn hazard. GRILL was usable (once) but required 45 minutes of cleaning first. STAIRS! Lots of stairs! Three adults slipped and a 12 year old slipped. All are athletes and not prone to falling. Outdoor stairs were extremely slippery after a rain. This was just a frustrating feature. The elevator that was off limits would’ve helped a ton. The look out room on the very top would’ve been fun to access, however it was locked off and a carpet was thrown on the stairs leading to it. Unfortunately, there was a huge gap in the door, allowing heat/humidity to enter. Could have a lot do with the mold problem. We won’t stay in this unit again, and would definitely not recommend.

DeBordieu was the perfect spot for a long weekend w family. Opens floor plan was great for our multigenerational family. We love to cook and found kitchen to be well stocked. Big frig, lots of counter space, and stools for hanging out. Comfortable beds, nice linens and towels provided. Used our voucher to rent bikes and explore. Short walk to beach!

This house is in a great location with great views but there is lack of general upkeep, broken window treatments, sticking doors, windows, broken lighting, the advertising doesn't tell you to access the Widow's Walk you have to go through a metal hatch and the balcony railing is rotted and unstable, very very unsafe. It worked fine, the rooms are comfortable and roomy, but not worth the money, for so many broken issues and super dated finishes, it's unfortunate.

Enjoyed learning about the history of the Low Country, and relaxing in the peaceful enclave of DeBordieu.

Rented this property as it had an elevator and golf cart which are essential for my elderly in-laws who were with us. Golf cart was not operational and no instructions provided to make it operational. Called management company evening of arrival left message requesting golf cart to be addressed. Person at service company took message and was very pleasant. Never heard back from anyone to address golf cart issue. Had to rent a golf cart at additional unexpected cost. House is fantastic owners should changed rental companies...ZERO response to our call is unacceptable!!!! Can't give stay 5 stars due to management company.

This is the second time our family stayed at this rental vacation. We are just as pleased now as we were then. Beautiful home. Very spacious for an extended family of 15. Beautiful view from the outdoor decks over looking wildlife. Short drive to the beach with our golf cart provided. Fully stocked kitchen and more. We highly recommend this beach house for families/reunions.

The stay was amazing and we are so grateful to have stayed in this beautiful home. The rooms, decor, etc were so wonderful.
One problem was the plumbing...I believe there were several plumbing issues, but the management staff came immediately to fix the issues. Also, we noticed in some of the bathrooms, the toilet paper holder was missing, etc. Thank you for this opportunity!

Very nice house and great location. Folks at the rental service were very helpful. Loved the view of the marsh and easy walk to the beach.

Stayed here for family wedding at Debordieu Golf Club. Three siblings and their spouses and one child were staying here. This house worked perfectly, because we all had our own bedrooms/bathrooms. It also had a living are on the top floor and a den on the middle floor. Made it easy to spread out. If your tv purple, there was one in each bedroom. It was also very close to the wedding venue. House had a golf cart, so we used that when we went to the beach. An elevator was helpful for unloading suitcases and also with and elderly relative. Super large kitchen was great for cooking for a group. Kitchen was well stocked. Microwave could use replacing, and kitchen items/drawers could use some deep cleaning, but still worked. Two large porches in each level were really nice. The lower level was screened, which helped on buggy days. They overlooked a large pond, with lots of wildlife. You could hear the ocean, even though you may see it. Great customer service from rental company. Homeowner needs to repair some annoying items, like missing toilet roll holders, towel racks coming out of walls, replace batteries in remotes and clean stained carpet. Otherwise, still a good house to rent if you’re ok with these minor issues.

We had such a great vacation. The weather was beautiful. Carolina Dreamin' was just what our family needed. Plenty of room for everyone! We spent lots of time outside on the deck watching the wild life. Pool and beach are very close especially using the golf cart. It was so peaceful there. We had a great stay! Loved the included golf cart and also rented another for the amount of people in the house. The house was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only negative was the ice maker did not work and when you are at the beach, you want a lot of ice.

Having my whole family 13 of us under the same roof at one time was something we have not been able to do in about 3 years. Carolina Dreamin made it possible

This house is now home to some of our best memories. We used it for the bridesmaids, parents, grandparents, brother and family and the bride. The marsh behind the house is relaxing while sitting on either the 2nd or 3rd story balconies. The elevator was a world saver as we had a couple of elderly grandparents with us. Loved it

House was absolutely beautiful ! Very clean , comfortable beds , well equipped kitchen and wonderful views of the marsh off the porches. Getting to the beach was just a short walk from the house . Love the Debordieu community - so fun riding bikes , walking , golf cart cruising and fishing. Can’t wait to return !

Worked well for our large family Thanksgiving. Easy check in via Tidelife Rentals.House was open, large and there were areas for the children to gather downstairs, the kitchen was huge allowing lots of cooks to prepare the meals. We enjoyed the location, house, community, beach and the beauty of DeBordieu. The toilet in the master bath needs a plumber. The water was turned off at the wall when we arrived because it gurgles and runs constantly. We shut the door, but needs repair.Other than that very minor issue, we had a fabulous time! Thank you for a wonderful Thanksgiving stay!

No complaints. Beautiful home

It was a great house for a big group. The kitchen was awesome. The only complaints are that the tv and internet didnt work for the first 2 days and there were no paper towels, garbage bags or dish soap.

great layout, conducive to entertaining, large useful open kitchen. great place for our guy 'work retreat' to hang out. balcony with nice marsh view. location with short walk to the beach. we enjoyed very much

The house was beautifully decorated, very comfortable for 11 of us (adults) - 2 more bunk beds and a sofa bed available to sleep 4 more. It wasn't within sight of the beach but located on a pond with a golf cart for riding to the beach and club pool. Well-equipped kitchen and operating elevator.

Hands down, Tidelife Vacation rentals is the best place to rent your home from. I'll never go through another rental Place . Suzanne picked this house for us and we've never been happier . She is incredibly energetic , knowledgeable of the area and patient. Her customer service is on point!! Thank you!!

The elevator is so nice for unloading and loading, and the garage area has plenty of rooms for cars and golf carts. The rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the open floor plan on the third floor is perfect for having everyone together. The views off of both porches are relaxing and beautiful. Suzanne and the Tidelife staff did a tremendous job of being accommodating and making sure we had a wonderful time. We could not give her higher marks.

good floor-plan / layout for extended family, with convenient location

The floorplan was very appropriate for our multi-generational family (including one handicapped). The huge kitchen was equipped perfectly to meet our needs. The ice maker did not work. We notified the management company and very soon after, 10 bags of ice were delivered to the house and the repairman was there the next day. The community pool/club house was very nice and only a short golf cart ride away. At our arrival, the golf cart was being repaired and was returned to the property in a couple of days. In the interim, we were provided with a replacement golf cart so for most of the week, we had 2 golf carts. The A/C on the third floor went out after a couple of days. The management company had someone out the next day. The outside of the property was not clean. Dirt and bugs were heavy on the outside of the windows. An empty soda bottle with a cigarette inside was discarded on one of the balconies. One of the batteries of a smoke detector needed to be replaced and was beeping. The management company and the owner were very responsive to all of our repair/replacement needs. Overall a good experience for our family.

We had such an amazing stay! The house and its amenities were perfect, as was the view! We used the kitchen quite often and found it to be extremely well-equipped with every tool or gadget you'd need. Everything was clean, golf-carts were great...also that SMOKER in the basement?! Amazing. Didn't use it but it was an awesome surprise. Thank you for an incredible stay!!

One thing for management/maintenance to check up on would be the air quality. Our carbon monoxide detector went off on Saturday, and after checking every possible source of this, we hadn't come to a conclusion of the correct source.

Tideline were great to find a rental with. The house was comfortable, in a pretty place and well furnished.

The kitchen was not as well stocked as previous rentals, but was sufficient. The upstairs back deck really should have had more chairs, for the number of bedrooms the house has. The view from this deck was fantastic and was very popular, but most people had to stand to enjoy it. We watched turtles, birds and alligators enjoying the pond. The two golf carts were very popular, and both worked very well. They made for a very quick drive to the beach, without having to go on any busy roads.

Spent 3 months and would have loved to stay another 3. Nice walk to the beach, great view of the lake in the back, very private decks and crows nest. Actually used all 5 bedrooms and the pull out couch one week and we were never crowded. Tidelife met every need and responded within 12 hours for 2 minor concerns. I'll be renting from them again next project I get in Georgetown.
