There is still time to catch the beauty of Brookgreen Gardens’ Summer Light by Night, which continues on Wednesdays and Saturdays through Aug. 24. This is an opportunity to explore and experience the historic Brookgreen Gardens landscapes on summer evenings. Walking through the heart of the sculpture garden is a mesmerizing experience with multiple installations lit up as if by magic. The Gardens close for general admission at 5 p.m., and gates reopen at 6 p.m. for Summer Light. The cost is $30 for adults and $17 for children 4-12. Children under 3 are free. Various food trucks will be on hand, so come out and enjoy!
In Murrells Inlet, celebrate the end of the season with refreshing cocktails during 75 Days of Summer at the MarshWalk. Through Aug. 31, the eight restaurants on the Marshwalk offer a choice of four specialty summer drinks for $9 each. The Mt. Gay Rum Punch is made with tropical fruit juices and a hint of rum. Nothing tastes like summer like iced tea, so try High Noon Teas, which come in four flavors: original sweet tea, lemon, raspberry, and peach. The Lunazul Cristalino Paloma is a combination of grapefruit juice, lime juice, lemon-lime soda, and tequila. Last but not least, the Meili Vodka Lemonade - sweet lemonade paired with Meili Vodka. Make the last of summertime count with these exhilarating drinks.
