Top Spring Events to Enjoy on the Hammock Coast

With spring comes the desire to hit the road and get outdoors. Pawley Island and the Hammock Coast make the perfect destination to do so. With a full slate of events planned, you’re sure to find a reason to visit. And stay awhile.

Feb. 26-27: Sample signature dishes from each of eight award-winning restaurants during Taste of the MarshWalk in Murrells Inlet. Local artisans, crafts, musicians, and kid activities line the half-mile boardwalk during the Taste of the MarshWalk. Small dish tastings include the region’s freshest seafood, as well as non-seafood items for the land lovers, available at $3-$5 per sample. There is no admission fee.

March 25-26: Tickets are now on sale for the Prince George Plantation Tours, hosted each spring by the Prince George Winyah Church Women. Visitors have a unique opportunity to tour historic plantations, houses, and gardens. All proceeds are allocated to community outreach and preservation of historic church buildings.

April 9: The family-friendly Murrells Inlet 2020 Race for the Inlet features a 5K run/walk, and 8K run. The event has a shotgun start at 8 a.m. in front of the Murrells Inlet 2020 office, across from The Wicked Tuna.
