Awesome vacation home! Clean, secure, and family friendly. We have stayed in many houses on PI over the last 30 years, including the old version of Dolphin view. This renovated Dolphin View is now our favorite. Love the creek dock, all of the bedrooms and baths, and multiple porches. (The only thing it is missing is a hammock) This is also the first time renting from Tide Life - easy to work with, professional, and timely in their responses.

Awesome house! Great creek dock that is great for fishing or watching the sunset! Lovely house with views of both the ocean and creek! Of course the beach access is incredible! We were blessed with awesome weather the entire week! The kitchen is amazing with two islands, Sub Zero refrigerator and coolers for wine or your favorite beverage! I was in Le Creuset heaven! Awesome Wolf range! Beds were comfortable and the master bedroom had a wet room! Awesome place and we look forward to coming back next year!

This house is the ultimate shore house. Loads of room for our extended family (7 bedrooms, 6.5 bathrooms). Extremely well insulated. Noise simply did not travel. Equipped with everything you could dream of. Location is PERFECT. Ocean at back door, beautiful lagoon at front. We used both constantly.

Dolphinview was recently renovated and exceeded our expectations. Perfectly situated on the ocean front and creek in the back. Sunrise and sunset everyday! Fortunate to have perfect weather and no travel hassles or sickness. It was a wonderful week for the 15 of us.

We booked this house knowing that the inside was a work in progress, so going into it, we expected it to not be perfect. While the bedrooms and other areas still need work, it did not matter to us because the views and outdoor areas were unbelievable! Most of the time was spent outdoors on the beach or on the porches, and I imagine that most renters will do the same. The scenery is some of the most beautiful that I have ever seen and I have travelled to beaches around the world. We absolutely loved the beach, the dock, the views, and the house in general. If you are not overly concerned with the interior being renovated, you will love the home as much as we did. Thank you so much and we hope to rent this house again soon :)

This was our 43 year at Pawleys.. This house,Dolphin View, is where we have stayed for 10 or 12 years. It suits our family. The property is going under renovation.. The Windows have been replaced which is a great plus.. Some new furniture and decorations ... There is great parking and storage under house.
A negative for this year as it will be redone by next space to put groceries and bring a child with you to figure out the televisions ... Porches are great... The management is the best ..on top of every situation..the most professional of any we have used.

Had a great time. Between the time of our reservation and our actual stay, the house of been sold to a new owner. So there was evidence of the new owner fixing things up. I hope will be able to afford this house to rent again after it's all fixed up.

My family stayed for 2 weeks in 2020. And we have a house full.. house is roomy and bedroom and bath situation works well for us. All love being right on beach as well as a dock in creek.. Dolphin View does need some "fresh lipstick"...

We love Pawley's Island and the Dolphinview location is as good as it gets. We spent 3 1/2 months there this Winter and, once we got over the condition of the property and the 24/7 work on the beach nourishment, we had a superior vacation.
Tidelife was a pleasure to work with and responded to a number of our requests, unfortunately, the HVAC units needed to be replaced, rather than repaired, so we struggled with temperature control.
Although the house was thoroughly cleaned before we arrived, doors and windows that didn't seal properly allowed sand to blow in and we were constantly sweeping and vacuuming. The carpet should have been replaced years ago.
There was also some black mold in an upstairs bathroom.
The dishwasher required skill to open and close and the countertops were downright scary.

We came for a week for a nephew's wedding. We had 2 couples the first part of week. Disappointed in how tired the house was. Carpet very worn and dirty. Lots of tired furniture. Location and views were wonderful. Think Dorian hurt and weathered the house even more. Love Pawleys and will return.

This house is the definition of adjusted expectations. This is our second year staying at Dolphinview (and we actually saw dolphins this year!!) with several close families and children. The location can not be beat which is why we returned, and may very well return next year even given the below concerns. Oceanfront with creek access allows for any activity desired, and thankfully due to that fact very little time is ever spent inside. The house itself if in poor condition from a maintenance perspective (furniture and beds are great) that has actually deteriorated since the previous stay, which is actually a bit of an accomplishment... There are legitimate safety concerns most notable are the complete lack of functioning external door locks as well as obvious damage to the underneath support framework. Mold is readily visible within the house and also the shadow of what seemed to be former smoke detectors are visible (I am not saying these are not replaced somewhere else because they likely were, this just came up in a post stay discussion with friends and given the current maintenance condition it seemed concerning). The house is currently for sale and unfortunately seems to be deteriorating toward “tear down” status, which is unfortunate. Overall though, the inside of the house is very comfortable and the furniture is in great condition and the house was very clean and well kept. Overall I would probably not be eager to recommend this house to a friend but may stay again ourselves if the situation dictates.

Tidelife was amazing to work with and I recommend them 100%. I just feel this house is stuck in a black hole of being sold and delaying improvements. Tidelife likely can only work within the parameters of the home owner and they are likely stuck in a bit of a losing situation here. I would 100% rent from them again.

Dolphin View was perfect for 14 of us - eight adults and 6 children. The house was very spacious. If we were not on the beach, there was perfect accommodation for various activities - i.e. the adults could read and/or visit while the children played in another part of the house. The south end of Pawleys is beautiful. The south end has been our family's vacation spot for 60+ years!

My family is now 5th generation Pawleys lovers. Though Dolphinview is "in need of some love" in the way of needed repairs, it is still an awesome vacation rental. The house is currently for sale so totally understand that some things may not be changed until house sells.

This home is huge and perfectly located on beach and creek! It's so big, that we didn't even use all of it. The huge family room upstairs is fantastic, but with a toddler, it was easier to stay on main floor for family time that wasn't on beach. Most of the windows are in need of repair/replacement. This has allowed some water damage to the property. Tidelife does a great job preparing the home and responds immediately to any requests. This property is listed for sale but needs exterior repairs to stop the deterioration. It's not beautifully furnished yet is comfortably furnished. And hey, IT'S A BEACH HOUSE! You're supposed to be outside unless sleeping. It is a fantastic property. If it hasn't sold by next year, we'll be back at Dolphinview.

First the good.....the staff at Tidelife Vacation rentals are the very best at what they do! Super easy to work with and friendly. The house location is perfect for a quiet relaxing vacation on the beach and this house is right ON THE BEACH. The house is big and roomy, has a fully stocked kitchen and the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Plenty of parking and 3 big roomy decks to just sit and relax and enjoy the ocean view, breeze and sounds. This house is located close enough to stores and restaurants that shopping and eating out isnt a problem but far enough from the traffic and hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach. You will feel like you have your own private beach and then when you want the Myrtle Beach experiences its not a bad drive in. Now for the ugly..... the house is in need of maintenance and updating. Before you bring anything cold make sure the refrigerator is going to work, it worked just fine for us but it took it a full day to get cool and it leaked off and on throughout the week. The windows in the house are in need of replacement or at very least sealed and the kitchen windows leaked during a storm. The decks are old and a couple of the steps seemed to give a little. The door to the back deck just needs replaced completely. There are cracks in the drywall and scuffs on the floor, things you would expect in a older house but could be fixed to add to the cosmetic beauty of this home. Other than the kitchen windows we didnt experience any leaks. Too sum up. We had a fantastic time the maintenance or cosmetic issues with this home, (which Tidelife said they are hoping to resolve in the next year) did not take one thing away from the fact that it is a few steps to the ocean and the view you get sitting eating your breakfast at the dining room table watching the waves is the best way to wake up in the morning. Sitting on the deck listening to the ocean at night and watching the sun rise over the ocean and set over the inlet. We loved this old house and the location so much we are booking it for next year. Hoping they make a few much needed upgrades and repairs but either way its a great, clean place to spend a vacation.

Property location was great! Property itself needs A LOT of maintenance. Stairs down to the beach are loose and bowing, kids tripped on the loose boards and got pretty cut up during our stay. Doors out to patio and beach don’t work properly. They are really good for getting mashed fingers! Mold on ceiling in upstairs showers. Windows don’t shut all the way and have towels shoved in them to keep water out. The house is in pretty bad shape which is really sad because it could be a beautiful place.
Tidelife company was EXCELLENT to work with! I would DEFINITELY rent from them again, just not this house.

This was my second year renting this house for a few days in the fall, and my second year working with Tidelife. The Tidelife folks are friendly and wonderful to work with. Linens were provided as expected - no problems there.

Dolphinview...needs work. The diningroom floors are a water-damaged mess repaired with caulk and nails in some places (seriously, wear shoes in there!!), the doors are a mess (not a decent lock on any of them), the kitchen cabinets are literally falling apart, and one of the beds was leveled with a children's book (which in hindsight is actually pretty funny - nothing's perfect).

Truly, I get that there was an ugly storm there last month (the still boarded up windows prove it), but this house is up for sale. It seems like the owners are putting the very least amount of money possible into maintenance, but beach houses basically need near constant maintenance - especially rentals. Most of the damage I noticed isn't a result of the storm (for instance the dining room floors had damage last year already, but now it's much worse). These also aren't issues that Tidelife or the owners would have handled during my stay (other than the book; we handled that ourselves HA!). On the other hand...amazing location, the heat worked, and the house was clean.

I'd rent from Tidelife anytime - just not this house.

The house was perfectly located. Are stable is a short stay up for days. Unfortunately we had the winds of her teen Michael out the kitchen window. And the company's tidelife, had maintenance there within minutes to fix the problem. The house itself needs a lot of maintenance up keep. I believe the owner really should update a lot of the house to keep it safe. There was an issue with the hot water and part of the house. These issues were really not a problem for my friend and I. We had a very relaxing wonderful time. We really wished that we had a TV in the upper section of the house that worked. The tidelife management is awesome.

The house is for sale and you can tell no one is putting any money into this home. The back door that leads to the beach is broken and they have used a piece of wood to keep it together and it actually cut three peoples hands due to the way it is rigged up. The refrigerator barely kept food luke warm, the cabinets are falling off the hinges and the flooring is all starting to peel and pop up. Do not waste your time renting this house its expensive for the condition and needs to be sold so the new owners will actually fix this house. total disappointment other than the location. The location is great but at some point you need to go back into the house and thats disappointing.

Our stay here was wonderful. There is no place in the world like Pawley's. Working with Tidelife vacation rentals was a breeze, would use them anytime we travel back to Pawley's.

The house was great for a huge party that have kids. Plenty of bedroom and space for everyone to run around. Don't have to worry about breaking anything or ruining anything cause this house in particular is pretty run down. Windows are fixed with tape or plywood over it, doors locks are in pretty bad shape, our bed wed nearly broken. With all this said, we got a great deal on the house (would have been pretty upset if we paid full price) and it worked for the low key, casual group that we had. If you are looking for something super nice, this is not your place, but if you are looking for lots of bedrooms, space and unbeatable location, this is the house for you.

Fabulous location, love ocean and inlet waters, just need a major redo on house. Please somebody buy it and revamp!! I’d definitely rent again at a good price!;)

Overall this was a great place to stay. The house was in a perfect location. We loved the island's rural feel and overall quietness. The beach was wonderful and we loved the access to the waterway out back. We spent a lot of time kayaking, walking and boarding. The house was clean and comfortable, but fairly outdated. The house is in need of some major aesthetic updating, window replacement (several fogged windows) and kitchen upgrading. Nice big house perfect for gathering as a big group, yet everyone having a private space to hang out as well.

Our family stayed a week in July at Dolphinview, We received the best customer service from Suzanne at Tidelife. The house was very spacious, clean and well stocked. It was in need of a few minor repairs. Great location! We would recommend this property. We had a great time!

we have been having a family vacation at Pawleys for 40 years ...and as family has increased we have changed houses..this house works well because it has 4 bathrooms and 6 bedrooms... we love being on south end on beach...the rental agency is the most helpful cooperative one we have ever dealt with..

If you are looking for a large, well located, and convenient location
House, you will be happy with this house. We have been coming
To Pawleys Island for many years and prefer the South
End with the ocean on front with multiple decks and the dock on the creek behind for fishing,
Crabbing, etc. This unit was comfortable for our group of ten.

If you are looking for fancy furnishings with new amenities
This may not be the place for you but we loved it !!!!

This is a great house for a big group. It does need a deep cleaning and maintenance of it's doors. Our family had a great time here. Luckily we did have access to a great dock since the beachside had too much wind to enjoy the beach.

We were very pleased with our stay at DolphinView. We had lots of room for our 2 married daughters and their families. We enjoyed being right on the beach, and the porch provided a wonderful place to admire the ocean view! Kitchen had all conveniences you might need. Wish there had been just a little more seating in the downstairs living area. Upstairs also had more living room space which was quite nice, but we found we wanted to be all together on the main floor. Everything was clean and beds were fine. Enjoyed fishing and kayaking in the creek out front. Close to grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping. Plenty of parking under the house. Had lots of room on the beach; not crowded at all!! Wonderful time!

It's a wonderful house for our family of 11...we have stayed in this house for several years and it works well for all of us !!

Being so close to the ocean, the pelicans and gulls, and so close to the end of the island was such a restful way to spend time after the rush of the holidays. The home is spacious and yet in need of many small repairs.

Everyone had a wonderful time. we had a couple issues the first part of the week . These were fix in no time. Dolphin view still has couple of things that need to be addressed . Everyone voted to reserved it for 2017.

Loved having the linens in house and beds made up...had not ordered those so it was a treat. Had a few minor problems which were quickly fixed. Had to hammer a nail in bridge to beach...came up during stay.

We spent a week at Dolphinview last month with our family of
6 adults and 3 children. We loved how the house was literally on the beach. The house was a good layout for our group. Also the beach is located in an area that seemed private so it was not ever crowded. The furniture and carpet were outdated and there was not a grill. There was supposed to be one but it had apparently disappeared.
We booked again for next year with some upgrades!

Tidelife rentals is about making their renters vacation a great experience...we have been vacationing at Pawleys close to 40 years and this company is the best !!!!

My fiance and I came down for a last minute trip to make plans for our wedding. Suzanne was amazing, helping to locate a beautiful beach house that is dog friendly. 'Dolphin View' sits right on the water at Pawleys ... as well as creekside! The house is gorgeous, and we fell in love with it. We even called a professional photographer to take our engagement pictures there. We even happened to meet the owner, and he was a wonderful gentleman. If it wasn't already rented the week we plan to return in August, we would definitely rent it again. In future years, this will be our 'go to' vacation rental.

I have already referred all of my family to Suzanne, knowing that they would receive the very best care.
