It’s about six miles from Pawleys Island to Murrells Inlet with the majority of the path running parallel to Highway 17.

Or enjoy the three miles of paved bike trails within the boundaries of Huntington Beach State Park. There, you can see Atalaya Castle and the Nature Center. Park the bike and enjoy a hike along one of the park’s interpretive trails, including the Kerrigan Trail, which leads to a deck over Mullet Pond. It is excellent for birdwatching.
North of the state park, discover Murrells Inlet Marsh Walk, which includes a boardwalk and amazing views of the marsh, the inlet, Goat Island, and the marina.
Across the highway is Morse Park Landing, a small park that features a Lost at Sea Memorial and scenic creek views.
At this point, you can continue on to the Pier at Garden City, or head back and stop by the beach for a breathtaking look at the Atlantic Ocean.
