Tip Ellen

We were very happy with the Tip Ellen, just as we always are. The Tidelife staff are very friendly and helpful.

We had a great time for a family reunion down the street and were able to accommodate our adult children and their families here. They enjoyed the classic Pawleys Island experience here.

This house was a HUGE disappointment! It appears that the owner never visits the house or just does not care for its current condition or desire to improve it. Bugs in one of the beds, appliances outdated, cabinets without doors. Table seats 4 when this house supposedly sleeps 12! Nicest thing I can say is that it had air conditioning and a roof.

Spent Jan through Mar 2023 at Tip Ellen. Perfect location beach is right across the street. House was just the right size for my husband and I. We had plenty of guests visit and more than enough room.

Thus is our first year spending time away from New England for Jan - Mar. It was a wonderful. The house is right across the street from the beach. Plenty of room. Tidelife staff very nice. Absolutely loved our 3 mos here.

We absolutely loved Tip Ellen! We were there for the month of Nov. The screened porch was my favorite! The beach access was a 2-minute walk.. if you’re looking for a modern, shiny house, this one is not for you. If you’re looking for a simple, quaint, house with stories to tell, Tip Ellen fits the bill. We will stay here again!

We rented the house for a mini vacation . The house is older, which I appreciate and had plenty of beds for everyone to sleep in. We spent the evenings playing cards on the screened in porch and had enough room to park the boat under the house. It was close and easy to get to the beach. A great time was had by all!

This is definitely a diamond on the rough. Nothing fancy but everything you need and a great location. Awesome place to just relax. Tidelife was very helpful with any needs. Great people. Love the big screened in porch.

The reviews of this place make me question how valid the customer review system is. First the good - the AC is cold, and the porch is nice. That's it - that's the list.

We've been going to Pawleys for 20+ years, and this is easily the most disappointed I've been with a rental. I've never actually written a bad review until now.
You expect some roaches at the beach. But this was an infestation. Several beds were borderline unusable (broken box springs?) The property description claimed total renovation of interior - at best that's misleading, at worst just a lie. The porch was best part of the house, and while a couple hundred dollars in furniture would have given a nice sitting area there, instead you've just got a few cracked plastic chairs. Garbage disposal was broken on arrival - not a big deal but was told a work order would be generated and someone would be out to fix it - didn't happen over 4 days.

I won't get into the details of dealing with Tidelife, whose customer service is far worse than the condition of this property, except to say there are plenty other vacation property management companies that homeowners and renters in this area would be better off doing business with.

The Pictures made the house look bigger than it actually is, They claim it can sleep 10 comfortably but 6 is more accurate.

You know what's nice about a quaint beach invites the family togetherness that I miss and value so much! We played board games, beach games, cooked together in the perfectly adequate kitchen, then grilled and dined on the screened porch. It's the perfect resting place between fishing charters and beach lounging, etc.

Haved stayed here for many years. It is our best vacation of the year. Tidelife is friendly and makes it easy. Can feel my shoulders relaxing as soon as we get there.

It was a great location overall! Better than expected , as far as closeness and convince to the beach ! We definitely enjoyed our stay here , the only thing I would say is the first night in our beds there in 2 of the beds we noticed a lot of sand in the beds that appeared to be freshly made .with that being said however , we would stay here again reguardless!

If I had paid full price for this rental I would have been very unhappy. The location is great but that is it. It was not clean- except the fridge and oven were very clean, the rest was dirty. Doors missing from cabinets. The amenities were a proble- 3 bundt pans but not a single oven tray. There was a bag of dirty diapers hanging outside the back door upon arrival. I would not recommend staying here.

We love Tip Ellen. It is sparkling clean with everything you need to prepare meals, clean bedding and towels were fluffy. So close to ocean to walk the dog and hear the waves. Close to restaurants and shopping. Close to Myrtle beach without the traffic.

We love coming to Pawley's in the fall. The Tip Ellen is just what we need. Comfortable and homey, close to the beach. The Tidelife staff could not be friendlier or more helpful.

This is the second year we have stayed in this house with the property management being Tidelife. Tidelife has been great to work with and they will jump right on any problem you might have. This house is named Tip Ellen and it was built in 1956, which means it has weathered a number of storms and survived them all. We love the older houses as they have a lot of character. The house was clean and they had upgraded several chairs in the living area and also on the porch. The location of the house is great, bing on second row and 5 minutes to the beach. We have recommended the house to at least 6 other couples.

We had never been to this area, so we were taking a risk. But we we so glad we did. The little cottage didnt have a lot of extras, but was clean and cute and super close to the beach without being smack-dab on the water.

We are in the middle of a 3 month stay at Tip Ellen. We appreciate being able to have our dog "Dolly" stay here with us. We were a little disappointed in having the public beach at the end of the road closed for repairs after the hurricane in 2016. Now that it is open, we use it almost every day. We are 1 row back from the beach, very close but not much of a view (we did know that before we rented). Owners were very nice and helpful. It is a great area, very friendly people. Cottage has everything we need, it is an older place and homey if you aren't expecting luxury and modernity.

This is the 2nd time I have rented a house on Pawlweys Island in September. It is an excellent choice if you want to get away from your normal routine. The house has everything you need to sleep, and feed a herd of friends or family providing you stop at the grocery store on the way out to the island. You can still get in the water well into October, it can't be beat for a fall break.

Great location close to beach. Very comfortable beds and clean linens. Two minor suggestions for improvements: kitchen appliances need updating; parking area is sand which causes a lot of sand to be in vehicles.

Tip Ellen is Old Pawley's! Great access to beach! Property was clean. Agent & team were great to work with from the time reservations were made thru checkout!

We had a lovely week with family and our dogs. The Tip Ellen is just steps away from the beach. We spent lots of time on the screen porch talking and listening to the ocean.

Awesome! Suzanne is great, the property was just steps from the beach, very relaxing.

It is hard getting back to reality guarding the homestead instead of being lazy on our screened in porch at Tip Ellen. Our morning walks on the beach with sand on our paws. The house was so clean you could eat on the floor, oh yeah, we did. We already recommended it to our 4 legged friends. Suzanne was amazing although she has a cat. Oh, my Mom and Gram had a good time too.

This house is what I think of when I think of Pawleys Island. Simple, quiet, restful, relaxing. No frills just honest beach. It has just about the best second row location possible and with enough room for a family. And although older, it was as clean as a new home.
Suzanne is quick in communicating and accommodating above all else. She cares about your experience. I would highly recommend Tide Life for anyone who desires good service and a great vacation.

Our family had a wonderful stay in Tip Ellen over Thanksgiving. It is a charming, vintage Pawleys Island Beach House which is had some recent improvements. The house Is in a wonderful with very convenient access to the beach. Suzanne, the property manager, is extremely accommodating and did everything possible to make our stay enjoyable. We will be back!

Me and two friends enjoyed this wonderful rental house while in town for the Myrtle Beach Mini Marathon. The location was perfectly convenient while giving us some peace and quiet for a great night's sleep before the race. Tidelife was great to work with and helped us out with a short rental due to our limited schedule. Can't wait to return for a longer trip!!

I have a successful Holiday Lighting Company. I work more in the fourth quarter of the year than the rest combined. I went to the beach to rest up and prepare for the season that lies ahead. The stay was fantastic! The house is great, and the beach access is only 3 houses down the street. The beach is public, but not overcrowded. Pawley's Island is a great choice for a getaway no matter the length of the stay.

We had a great time at Pawley's. The house gave us the true beach experience. Anything that we needed Tidelife took care of very quickly. They went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and were comfortable.

Tip Ellen is a great little house close to the beach we loved our stay, the remodel was very nice as well. I look forward to doing business again with TideLife and am looking forward to returning thanks so much
